My name is Tony Whelan and I am a hobbyist landscape photographer based in Dublin. My passion mostly takes me to the Wicklow area but I love to travel to other scenic locations around Ireland too. Photography for me is about exploring rarely trodden paths across mountains and valleys and capturing the awesome beauty of nature for people to enjoy.

My first steps into photography started many years ago when I borrowed my Dads old film camera to shoot the beautiful Comeragh mountains area in my home county, Waterford. It wasn't until 2012, when I developed an interest in astrophotography, that I got my first digital camera, a Canon 1100D. After that my passion for landscape photography was renewed again and I have been roaming the mountains and valleys of Wicklow ever since, sometimes at insane hours in rain, wind and snow!
